What makes Cloud 9 better than other DJ’s?
We have a strong passion for DJ'ing and maintain an ideally sized, manageable, company.  We’re a full-time, fully insured, independently owned business of 24 years with a goal of providing the most exciting DJ experience possible.  We use the best DJ’s and equipment available, and only operate as many shows as we can keep a really close eye on.   Cloud 9 is big enough to be reliable, yet small enough to work closely with both you and our DJ’s to get everything right.  Maintaining the high level of quality that we strive for is only possible at this level.

What’s wrong with the big DJ companies?
Most large DJ services are pumping out 20-30 shows a night - kinda like a pizza or burger chain.  If you think of the best burger or pizza you’ve ever had, it probably didn’t come from a place like that.  Big DJ companies (like any large company), Is all about being cost-effective and maximum profits. They offer a fair product for a fair price and do it in volume (no pun intended).  They won’t pay top dollar for truly great DJ’s, and don’t use top of the line gear. You get the "value-meal” of entertainment - the “McDJ”.

What’s wrong with the independent DJ?
One guy, one pair of speakers, one amp, zero back-up plan.  If they suddenly can’t make it or if anything breaks, the show’s over.  We get “Help” calls every year from people who’s “guy” suddenly can’t perform, or even from the “guy” wanting to borrow something.  They typically have a limited music library,  no written contract,  or even liability insurance.  While they can offer lower rates than a reputable service, you’re really buying a lottery ticket.  The odds are better that you’ll get nothing rather than what you’re hoping for.

We have back-up equipment and staff just in case of an unexpected emergency. The show MUST go on!  Would a refund do you any good once the big hand reaches "start" time?

When you choose a DJ, It Is Important to know that they will actually be there. A binding agreement / written contract ensures that both parties are protected.

We make it easy to plan your event by providing you simple worksheets that outline traditional dances, events, and necessary details needed for each event. We also invite you to select your own music from our 14 page song booklet to make sure you hear what you want! Custom requests are welcome too!

Our package prices are for complete disc jockey services at simple, all-inclusive flat rates. When you see our prices, you can be sure they include our full sound & lighting system, tax and all.

When you have questions,  or need any help, you’ll work with the same dedicated event professional throughout the entire planning process - A person who has overseen thousands of other dance events and has the right answers.

Most DJ’s suspend lights their lights overhead.  Nothing can ruin an occasion more than an injury - followed by a lawsuit if (perhaps) something large & heavy should fall on someone. Who’s responsible if your DJ is uninsured?  YOU.

Professional trade associations offer benefits, discounts, training, and assistance to their members.  While we benefit from these memberships,  we hope it conveys to you that we’ve at least met the standards & criteria set forth by independent arbitrators and are focused on continuing to better our services.
